8 Interior Items that Buyers REALLY Notice

1.  Buyers take special notice of light and bright homes.  Buy high-intensity    light bulbs and be sure to clean all light shades and covers.

 

2.  Buyers notice especially clean homes.  Do a “spring cleaning” throughout.  Give special attention to the following: windows and screens, countertops, appliances, mirrors, ovens, sinks, toilets, and tub/shower areas.

 

3. Buyers notice clean windows, freshly laundered drapes and curtains.

 

4. Buyers notice freshly cleaned carpets and polished floors.  Replace or repair damaged areas of the floor or floor covering.

 

5. Buyers notice spacious rooms; arrange furniture and decorations to improve each room.  Remove unnecessary items that don’t fit in.  The best way to think of this is the are there to see your home not your stuff.

 

6. Buyers notice colors that will blend with their décor and furnishings.  Consider a fresh coat of paint.  Think neutral and contemporary, which does not mean white and sterile.

 

7. Buyers notice closet and cabinet space.  Neatly arrange everything in your closets, cabinets and other storage areas including the basement and garage.  Get rid of all unnecessary items.

 

8. Buyers pay attention to tiny details.  Fix all of the “little things”....loose door knobs, leaky faucets, towel racks, clean and repair caulk areas.

 

8 Exterior Items That Buyers REALLY Notice

1.    Buyers notice if the lawn is in good condition, so make sure it is well manicured and the shrubs and bushes are trimmed.

 

2.    Buyers notice the front door (it is usually the first thing they see) make sure it is in good repair, might be good to give it a fresh coat of paint.

 

3.    Buyers notice if it looks inviting put potted flowers or plants out by the front door and add some color to where there might not be any.

 

4.    Buyers will notice the mail box make sure it is in working condition.

 

5.    Buyers notice the garage doors might be good to consider a fresh coat of paint.

 

6.    Buyers notice outside lights and door knobs and hardware,  Repair or replace any that might be damaged.

 

7.    Buyers notice the drive way.  If it has lots of cracks or missing pieces they should be filled in.

 

8.    Buyers notice overgrown plantings and gardens.  Make sure everything is trimmed and looks manageable.
